What We Offer
Youth Program
At the Alberta Somali Community Centre in Edmonton, we believe in investing in the next generation. Our Youth Empowerment Program is designed to support young people as they navigate challenges, discover their identity, and build brighter futures.
Weekly Youth Groups
We host weekly youth gatherings that provide a safe, welcoming space for connection, mentorship, and community building. These groups encourage positive peer relationships and give youth the tools to thrive socially and emotionally.
Support For High Risk & First Generation Youth
We recognize the unique challenges faced by high-risk youth and those who are first-generation Canadians. Our team offers tailored support to help them overcome barriers, build resilience, and access opportunities that set them on a path to success.
Identity, Mental Health, & Addiction Awareness
Through workshops and open discussions, we address critical topics such as identity, mental health, and addiction awareness. By fostering understanding and reducing stigma, we empower youth to seek help, embrace their identity, and make healthy choices.
Legal & School Related Referrals
Navigating legal systems or school challenges can be overwhelming. We provide referrals to trusted legal and educational resources, ensuring youth and their families receive the guidance they need to resolve issues and stay on track academically.
Why It Matters
Youth are the heart of our community. By offering consistent support, safe spaces, and access to resources, we help them grow into confident, capable leaders who contribute positively to society.
